面對6月底登場的季中選秀，中職球團也趁著上半季結束的「補賽周」開始測試「留用球員」，桃猿隊洪宸宇「棄打從投」勇氣可嘉，今天將是他2年來首度升上一軍，檢驗投球身手的重要日子！
「職棒4年級生」的洪宸宇現年26歲，去年沒有出賽位置，全季泡在二軍，由於年輕、青棒又是投手之故，洪宸宇今年毅然「棄打從投」，抓緊時機進行大改造，爭取留在職棒的機會，本周他要展現轉型的本領。
洪宸宇（左投左打）在二軍苦練球技，想把當年南英3大主投的丰采找回來，目前他的均速在139至140公里、最快142公里，算是野手較難揮打的速度，目前中職4隊中繼左投，球速一般，這是洪宸宇爭取生存空間的大利多。
洪宸宇轉換跑道後在二軍出賽14場、包括1場先發、13場後援，拿到1勝0敗2中繼成功，自責分率3.76。猿隊二軍總教練郭建霖表示：「他的表現還算沉穩，很少出現『大狀況』，好球比例高，只是精準度還要磨練。」
2012年洪宸宇投入中職，連2年出賽數不超過24場，找不到舞台發揮，去年連一軍都上不了，今年改以中繼投手重新出發，不過，洪宸宇在二軍投得好、不代表能適應一軍的強度。中職場上「棄投從打」多、「棄打從投」少，洪宸宇轉型的「大考」日子就在今天。
